DEMAND FOR MASTER EDUCATION IS INCREASING
As the undergraduate education focuses on traditional fields, the education received by the students is also limited. At this point, graduate education that addresses a certain specialization comes into play. The fact that it has become the primary reason for preference in recruitment has also led to an increased interest in graduate studies in recent years.
It's not enough just to be a university graduate to get a job anymore. Therefore, after graduating from university, a new racing period begins for young people. Companies that want to attract the most qualified talents are looking for criteria such as the candidates' completion of master's programs that address a certain specialization. At this point, a master's degree enables one to get ahead of other candidates both during the recruitment process and throughout business life.
THERE ARE 358 THOUSAND MASTER STUDENTS
As of this year, there are 358 thousand graduate and 109 thousand doctoral students among 8 million 296 thousand university students in Turkey. Recently, many young people who want to improve themselves, reach their target career and earn their dream salary, turn to graduate education after their undergraduate education. The number of graduates to pursue an academic career is also quite high. Regardless of the purpose, interest in graduate studies is growing every year. In order to meet this demand, universities are opening new graduate programs that will provide the students with the competencies that will enable them to gain different perspectives and make a difference in the business world.
“THEY WILL FOLLOW THE CHANGING GLOBAL TRENDS AND GAIN SECTOR EXPERTISE”
Providing detailed information on the subject, Bahçeşehir University Graduate Education Institute Director Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öncü said, “Our graduate education institute candidate students tend to pursue graduate education for various purposes such as to consolidate the knowledge they have gained in their undergraduate education, to follow the constantly changing global trends, to gain sector expertise and to progress academically by continuing their doctoral studies. Having a master's degree contributes to graduates in business life, especially depending on the quality of the institution where the master's degree is gained, its capacity to adapt to innovations, the differences that stand out in preparing the students for business life and networking opportunities. With these competencies and added values, we enable our graduates to become an individual who make a difference in their academic lives and sector expertise.”
“WE ESTABLISH PROGRAMS THAT WILL DISTINGUISH GRADUATES FROM THEIR COMPETITORS”
Emphasizing that Bahçeşehir University's graduate programs are designed to raise analytical skills, blend information from different fields rather than focusing on a single field, and raise individuals who differ from their peers, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öncü said that the Digital Microchip Design and Verification Non-Thesis Master's Program was added to their graduate program portfolio.
“WE AIM TO GIVE BOTH APPLIED AND THEORETICAL INFORMATION”
Giving detailed information about the program, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öncü said, “With the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Digital Microchip Design and Verification, participants will be able to gain in-depth experience in Digital Integrated Circuit Design and Verification, including topics such as VHDL, FPGA, SystemVerilog, TCL and UVM. With the program, we aim to provide participants with practical and theoretical knowledge on Digital Integrated Circuit Design and Verification. The program will be run in partnership with ElectraIC, a Doulos Certified Training Partner.” said.
“PARTICIPANTS WILL GAIN INFRASTRUCTURE ON ESSENTIALS OF DIGITAL DESIGN”
Starting with the essentials of digital IC design and verification, the program will continue by teaching entry, advanced and expert-level VHDL. Also within the scope of the program, the participants will learn designing with FPGAs which, in today’s world, are becoming more and more complex, hence verification is of utmost importance for right-first-time chips. For that reason, the programme includes courses on TCL, SystemVerilog and UVM, which are widely used in the world of IC design and verification.
General Manager of ElectraIC, Ateş Berna, states that the participants will be able to refresh their basic digital design skills, or if they have no background in digital IC design basics, they will be able to acquire them. Thus, the program is for new graduate engineers embarking on a first project, engineers with limited practical experience in digital design, engineers from other disciplines, like software design or analog design, re-training for digital design involvement or those requiring familiarisation with modern digital design techniques.
“THE CONTENT ALSO CONTAINS COURSES OF DOULOS, THE WORLD LEADING EDUCATION COMPANY IN THE FIELD OF DIGITAL DESIGN”
The compulsory courses of the program will be given by Bahçeşehir University faculty members and the elective courses will be given by Doulos Certified ElectraIC trainers. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Graduate Diploma and an internationally recognized ElectraIC-Doulos Certificate.
“THE YOUNG ENGINEERS WILL BE PERFECTLY EQUIPPED TO GET A FAST START IN THEIR CAREERS”
Ateş Berna said “Doulos is a world-leading training services company in digital design and the courses included in this program are delivered worldwide by Doulos and its certified partners and instructors. After successfully completing the programme participants will be ready for many digital IC design and verification jobs, throughout the world, with this internationally recognised certification. Digital IC Design Engineers are in great demand in today’s Semiconductor Industry, so participants will be perfectly equipped to jump-start their careers after completing this program.”
Mr. Berna also stated that many of the courses in the program are preferred by companies such as ARM, Raytheon, Thales, NVIDIA in the world, and added: “ElectraIC trainers are also experts in the sector and are already actively working in microchip design projects in Turkey and abroad. We think that participants will benefit greatly from this program and will provide a very important advantage in their careers.”
