The results of the 1501 Industrial R&D Projects Grant Programme 2023-2 Call, which aims to encourage Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to carry out Research and Development (R&D) qualified innovation activities and to increase localization in the required technology fields by improving their R&D capacities, have been announced.

ELECTRA IC has been awarded support for its "Development of Application-Specific Microchip Verification Environment for Systems on Chip (SoC) based on RISC-V Architecture" Project.

In recent years, the use of System on Chip (SoC) containing various purpose-built electronic systems has been increasing both in Türkiye and worldwide. In the developed SoC designs, the usage of RISC-V architecture as the CPU is becoming widespread due to the cost advantage brought by its open-source nature. With the increasing usage of RISC-V, there is a need for a reusable, customizable, and flexible verification environment infrastructure to perform design and verification activities in different systems. With its project, ELECTRA IC aims to provide an environment that will meet the verification needs of all RISC-V based designs in various sectors such as automotive, defense, and mobile. In the project, a verification environment containing the most commonly used interfaces in these sectors such as UART, I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, AXI-4, DDR4, and Wishbone will be developed, linked to a RISC-V processor. Additionally, the necessary infrastructure for testing these accelerator structures will also be prepared.

We are proud to have been supported by TÜBİTAK for our project at ELECTRA IC. Our efforts to create the technology of the future and provide high technology to our country with the efforts of Turkish engineers will continue to increase in the future.
